Help for Neatline — offline GPS on your georeferenced PDF maps.
Need a hand or have feedback?
Email [email protected] and I’ll get back to you. Please include your iPhone model and iOS version, and a screenshot if something looks wrong.
Does Neatline work with no signal?
Yes. Your maps and data live on the device and the GPS works offline. Two optional features — the dim context map and Map My Location — need a connection only at the moment they fetch map tiles.
Why does it ask for “Always” location?
Only so a track keeps recording while your phone is locked or in your pocket. If you don’t record tracks, “While Using” is fine. Location never leaves your device.
My position looks offset or flipped.
Neatline reads the georeferencing embedded in the PDF. A handful of maps are exported with unusual referencing; if yours looks wrong, email me the map and I’ll take a look.
How do I get my waypoints and tracks out?
Share or export them as KML/KMZ from the app — individual tracks can be exported on their own.
Where are my maps stored?
On your iPhone, inside Neatline. There’s no account and no cloud copy, so keep the original PDFs if a map matters to you.
Neatline has no account, no analytics, and collects no personal data. See the Privacy Policy.
